As any experienced mushroom grower can tell you, spawn stock is one of the most critical factors determining production output. Let's face it, you aren't happy if your tomato plants give you cherries when you were expecting beefsteak! Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc. has been providing spawn to customers globally for more than two decades. Our advanced labs, culture maintenance and storage practices ensure that our spawn is consistently vigorous. On top of that, we verify the productivity of our spawn at the level of commercial production, rather than mere small lot testing.
Strains
Our consulting and equipment customers have access to some of the world's best mushroom spawn. These strains have been bred with the commercial mushroom grower in mind. They offer high bioefficiency and rapid throughput, have excellent shelf life, look fabulous and taste great!
Strains include most specialty mushroom varieties such as Shiitake, Oyster, Trumpet Royale™, Clamshell™, Forest Nameko™, Cinnamon Cap™, Maitake, Pompon Blanc™ and others.
Certified Organic
Although USDA National Organic Program rules for mushroom production are still pending, certifiers require that growers use organically certified mushroom spawn when available. Your search is over.

Please note that spawn customers are obliged to enter into a spawn use agreement that does not permit reproduction, transfer or resale of our strains.
