Celebrating 40 Years of Specialty Mushrooms
Update: The Open House has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for Spring due to the fires in our area.
Come join us on October 15th, 2017 as Gourmet Mushrooms celebrates its 40th year of growing some of the nation's finest specialty mushrooms!
As we began preparing for this celebration, we realized that we couldn't celebrate Gourmet Mushrooms without also celebrating our friends and neighbors. As such, we are very excited to announce that we will be featuring several local businesses, chefs, and organizations as a part of our Open House.
Wine
Dutton-Goldfield Winery
One of our closest neighbors, Dutton-Goldfield winery will be on site to help us celebrate. While Pino Noir and Chardonnay are the mainstays of the Dutton-Goldfield production, the winery produces several other varieties of wine as well. Pay them a visit after the open house to taste all they have to offer!
Food
Just down the street as well, Red Car Wine Co. will be present and pouring a selection of their wonderful wines! Growing a large majority of their own fruit, they have worked to integrate concepts and principles of organic, bio-dynamic, and permaculture systems into their farming.
Ceres Community Project
Near and dear to our hearts, Gourmet Mushrooms, Inc. has been a long-standing supporter of Ceres Community Project and their mission to distribute meals that nourish the critically ill while also empowering teens in our community. We are incredibly honored that representative of Ceres and of the Ceres Catering Team will be present for our Open House and will be serving Mushroom Crostini with Brie and Braised Leeks & Mushroom Medley Autumn Bisque.
CJ's Sweet & Savory Cobblers
Based out of Rohnert Park, owner Cheryl Johnson operates a small batch bakery that provides sweet and savory cobblers to her customers. Each cobbler uses local, seasonal, and organic ingredients to provide the highest quality, best tasting cobblers. We are very excited to have CJ's Cobblers at our open house, serving a delicious mushroom cobbler. Check out her website for all your cobbler needs!
Three Leaves Foods
"We are dedicated to creating, cooking and sharing the art and traditions of real foods. " Each week Chef Rob creates a new menu using ingredients from local, organic farms. A great service for local families who want to make eating healthful, delicious, and organic meals easy. Stop by their booth at our Open House for a taste of what they have to offer!
